https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=295489#c1 --- Comment #1 from Péter Kerékfy <kerekfyp@komal.hu> 2007-08-03 03:56:00 MST --- Now I have tried alpha7 and I realized that the above 2 hacks are no longer required. Thermal zones and fans work properly after resume out-of-the-box. (Though I will keep testing this....) But 10.3 introduced a new issue: after resume from suspend2ram the brightness of the lcd display becomes very low. This modell has an ambient light sensor. If I turn the sendor off then the screen starts flashing. When I turn the sensor back on the screen stops flashing and returns to the dark state. This can be fixed by switching to console (Ctrl+Alt+F1) and then back to X (Ctrl+Alt+F7). This is 100% reproducible. A permanent fix I was able to implement is to uncomment lines 57 and 58 in /usr/lib/pm-utils/functions. I think these lines are commented out to support splashy which is an experimental bootsplash solution introduced in 10.3, isn't it? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
