http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=615334 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=615334#c0 Summary: Driver sn9c102 is provided on opensuse 11.1 but not on 11.2 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: PC OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jacobidiego@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Opera/9.80 (X11; Linux i686; U; es-ES) Presto/2.2.15 Version/10.10 I recommended a friend of my to start his Linux journey with opensuse instead of ubuntu because of my results with it, and because i would be able to provide some help. He installed opensuse 11.2 and i have since long, opensuse 11.1. We both have the same webcam. The camera works with the driver sn9c102 which is not present in opensuse 11.2 but it is on opensuse 11.1. I dont understand the reason but it is. I posted with my friend a very detailed description of the problem in the forums: http://forums.opensuse.org/get-help-here/hardware/440526-making-my-camera-wo... I am looking forward on seeing the driver sn9c102 included again on new kernels, so my friend can have his camera back. Cheers. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Plug an usb webcam which uses sn9c102 driver 2. 3. Actual Results: No /dev/video0 device will be created and so, no cam-software works Expected Results: Automatic detection of a perfectly supported camera. http://forums.opensuse.org/get-help-here/hardware/440526-making-my-camera-wo... -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
