https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=377448 Summary: Boot Option "Memory Test" needs Clarification in Application Presentation Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: PC OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Usability AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: alpha096@virginbroadband.com.au QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Customer This application function well in a text mode. Any chance in loading a mouse driver and present menu selection a little easier? Personally I will NOT use the mouse unless I have to, however I am old. A new user just cannot cope without a mouse and menu. The options at the bottom of the default test are: (ESC) Reboot (c) configuration (SP) Scroll_lock (CR) Scroll_unlock I understand this is really a small request, however there are not many old users out there who still understand what a "Carriage Return is" and like wise (SP) Space Bar is unclear. Its a 30 minute fix to just change the abbreviations to full words and the words Scroll_lock are mostly long forgotten by current users. Could we expand (SP) and (CR) to real words and could we change "Scroll_lock" to 'Pause Screen/ Release Screen' Please bear in mind half of the new Teckos now and soon all teckos cannot do anything unless they has mouse and Menu Support - Yes I know this is frightening but unfortunately realistic. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
