https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=467889 Summary: Partitioner doesn't seem to remember the filesystem options Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: RC 2 Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: nice@titanic.nyme.hu QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; hu-HU; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121300 SUSE/3.0.5-1.1 Firefox/3.0.5 I'm installing a 32bit openSUSE 11.1 I chose the manual/export partitioning to edit the partition table of the single /dev/sda HDD. It has 8 partitions (including the extended one). I instructed the partitioner to format each partition with ext3. I also changed the block size (in bytes) from auto to 4096. After configuring each partition, I wanted to make an extra check on them, and I found that EVERY ext3 filesystem was set to be formatted with auto blocksize again. However, if my memories are correct, the 64 bit version behaved well a few days ago. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start to install openSUSE (possibly the x86/32bit version is necessary) 2. Make a manual/expert partitioning, including changing the block size from auto 3. When you finished (but haven't left the partitioner screen by the accept button yet), check the block sizes if they have the manual values set by you or the original ones. Actual Results: They revert to their original value. Expected Results: They should have the values set by you, or shouldn't they? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
