https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=821879 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=821879#c25 --- Comment #25 from Bernhard Wiedemann <bwiedemann@suse.com> 2013-05-31 19:07:03 CEST --- 1. yes, IMHO upstream did an ugly workaround (and will even leave all other broadcasts coming back) using git blame on openstack nova code showed that this was introduced for https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova/+bug/933640 https://github.com/openstack/nova/commit/b61e1ea12cd41ea507b1f6496ec1413c93b... mentioning the need to reach your own floating IP that is only NATed on the host but I just tested that and it seems to not be working anyway so we could just as well disable hairpin_mode to avoid all associated trouble 2. if there is a duplicate MAC address - shouldn't it then also refuse to do IPv4 networking? I guess our duplicate address detection code is less picky there. (admitted: IPv4 does more things in userspace than IPv6) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
