https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=752851 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=752851#c0 Summary: pam-config does not provide support for pam_ecryptfs Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 12.1 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: darin@darins.net QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:10.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.2 In order to leverage eCryptfs for encrypted home directories, pam_ecryptfs modules need to be added to /etc/pam.d/common-auth and /etc/pam.d/common-session, see pam_ecryptfs(8) included in the ecryptfs-utils package. The common-auth, common-session, common-account, and common-password are all autogenerated by pam-config which may/will clobber any modifications made to said files which is required for ecryptfs. It would be fantastic if pam-config were extended to provide support for pam_ecryptfs so we can leverage this powerful cryptographic filesystem on OpenSUSE systems.
