https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=386087 Summary: boot.iso WLAN Settings DHCP not configurable Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Factory Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: casualprogrammer@yahoo.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Beta-Customer When trying to install Beta2 from factory via network install from boot.iso ( http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source/boot/bo... ) over WLAN ( no cable connected ). Selecting installation from the boot menu brings up a WLAN Settings dialog. It asks for ESSID Passphrase then comes back with "Could not find the openSUSE Repository, Activating manual setup" It then states "Your Network is already configured. Keep this configuration ?" Answering yes leads into an endless circle of no go. As it turns out ( after answering the last question with NO ) in the WLAN Settings dialog there is no opportunity to set DHCP, nor is it set by default. Answering "Keep this configuration ?" with no repeats the WLAN Settings dialog, this time with the opportunity to enable DHCP.
From there everything works as expected ( nearly )
