https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=435462 Summary: NO CPU Management During Installation - Create Critical Temp BIOS Shutdown Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: alpha096@virginbroadband.com.au QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Customer The install log attached shows that during Installation there is no CPU management. If any process is going to cook a processor, the Install is the best example of high utilisation over a long period. This is my second brand new install, the first was done on a hot day and the PC shut down from BIOS protections overheat. I would suggest you also check _32 Installation for signs of CPU support as I would suggest is also not supported.
