(1) The computer was rebooted into new kernel on 27 Apr 10:31. At 27 Apr 14:47 the system locked up. No keypress recognized. No mouse movement. Caps lock would not toggle on/off. Tried Ctrl-Alt-F2. Rebooted system by power-off. (2) The computer was running since reboot on 27 Apr 14:47. At around 28 Apr 08:58, the keyboard stopped responding to keypresses. The mouse did move. Was able to remote login to system and check logs. Used the mouse to exit the desktop and was able to login. Linux rodan 2.6.27.21-0.1-default #1 SMP 2009-03-31 14:50:44 +0200 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux hwinfo.txt is attached.
