http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=567314 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=567314#c0 Summary: Interference of keyboard layouts cause erroneous behavior of the Alt Gr key Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: PC OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: groszdanireg@gmail.com QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux; en-US) AppleWebKit/527+ (KHTML, like Gecko, Safari/419.3) Arora/0.10.1 If I use Hungarian layout but I have USA (or Russian) and Norwegian layouts in my list of active layouts too, key combinations containing Alt Gr work as if (left) Alt was pressed as well in addition to Alt Gr. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Change your layout to Hungarian in KDE 4.3's Systemsettings. It will exetute the following command: setxkbmap -model pc104 -layout hu -variant In the Hungarian layout several signs are produced by key combinations with Alt Gr (the right Alt on the Hungarian keyboard), e. g. AltGr+- (with "-" next to ".", not on the numerical keypad) will produce a *. 2. Add USA and Norway layouts to the list of the active layouts but keep Hungarian the current. It will execute the following command: setxkbmap -model pc104 -layout hu,us,no -variant ,, Actual Results: If you press AltGr+- it will work as if you pressed Alt+AltGr+-, so it will act like if you pressed Alt+*. E. g. in bash it will insert a list of available commands or files instead of inserting a "*"; in most applications it will do nothing. Expected Results: Insert a "*". I do not know the Norwegian layout (an other person needs it) but having it as an additional layout should not interfere with the current Hungarian layout. The problem does not occur if I add only Norwegian in addition to Hungarian; it occurs if I add e. g. USA or Russian too. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
