Just as side note, this is not an Intel board. I am aware that there was also a booting issue with openSUSE 11.1 x86_64 and D945GCLF2, but as I stated this is a Jetway NC92-330-LF. About the upstream commit: If you take a look at the thread I mentioned earlier, I managed to install openSUSE 11.1 x86_64 on it but, with a kotd v2.6.29-rc5-git3-master_20090221181736_632072f6-default kernel. I also installed the kernel-source rpm for that kernel and took a look if that patch was present. It is not. There is no __flush_tlb_all(); on split_large_page function and the kernel still boots. Because I also have a r8169 NIC RX issue ( also trying to solve with r8169 maintainer ), I also found out that, if I compile any kernel without NUMA and SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP the problem will not occur. One can disable NUMA on a boot line with numa=off but, I do not know how to disable SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP. This could be of some help to users trying to install openSUSE 11.1 on hardware such as mine. Hope this is enough. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
