https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=718096 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=718096#c0 Summary: Sysctl settings are not being applied on boot Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: alex.richardson@gmx.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:6.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0.2 My sysctl settings are not being applied on boot, although it seems that the symlinks in /etc/init.d/ are correct. When I run sysctl --system they are applied correctly I am running 11.4 with Tumbleweed repository How can I add a shell script that gets run on startup to workaround this issue? It is quite important for me, since I need log_martians set to 0 since otherwise my log gets flooded with those messages.
