https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=247998 Summary: 10.2 install does not find USB disk with install source when formatted with NTFS Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: 32bit OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: peter_greis@yahoo.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com A colleague downloaded the DVD install source and saved to a NTFS formatted USB disk drive. When choosing the install source, we chose hard disk. Correctly presented was the NTFS volume as /dev/sdg1. Later, as the installer attempted to mount the volume it stopped with an error message and the command (the last argument of which was filesystem=auto). We changed the last argument to read "filesystem=ntfs". With this the installer continued. I believe that if the argument is "auto", it should probably check ntfs as well as the usual suspects. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
