http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=529404 Summary: Please reduce size of OpenOffice_org-icon-themes Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: OpenOffice.org AssignedTo: bnc-team-ooo@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: vuntz@novell.com QAContact: kyu@novell.com Found By: --- OpenOffice_org-icon-themes is a huge package. It's mainly an issue for the livecd (but it'd also be nice to get less data to download on updates ;-)) It turns out that most people don't need all the icons in there. We apparently have those icon themes: + images_crystal.zip: this is for KDE + images_hicontrast.zip: this for accessibility (I guess?). + images_industrial.zip: I would think it's an old GNOME theme? + images_tango.zip: this is for GNOME + images.zip: upstream theme, I guess? According to bug 284980 comment 14, it's not possible to split this package in subpackages (the themes have to be installed, and cannot be detected at runtime -- this is *really* bad :/). But still, the situation could be improved: + do we really need the upstream theme? + do we really need industrial and tango? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
