https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=419532 Summary: Installing security patch to boost uninstalls zypper without warning. Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Blocker Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jasedit@jzworks.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Other Updating the security patches provides a new version of boost, which conflicts with some part of zypper with no warning or notification. As a result, staying current with the security patches will disable YaST2 (""Error loading language plugin /usr/lib/YaST2/plugin/libpy2lang_perl.so: libzypp.so.324: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory") and the auto-update process. It looks like this has occurred before, with this bug: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=342394 - the workaround is to manually download the older packages and ignore the security updates until this gets resolved. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
