http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=595694 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=595694#c0 Summary: Add possibility to save group of packages in software manager Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: PC OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: Helbrass@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/4.3; Linux) KHTML/4.3.5 (like Gecko) SUSE Some packages require some other packages. For example installing gnome-control-center will install half of gnome, and they will be left in system when uninstalling gnome-control-center. Currently it is possible to save text list of packages, but removing them one-by-one using search is not very usable. Please add possibility to save group of packages from Installation Summary, it will allow to remove all packages who came by dependencies and will not be used if the only using package will be removed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install OpenSUSE 11.2 with KDE as main desktop. 2. After installing try to install gnome-control-center - it will install pack of gnome apps. 3. launch gnome-control-center, modify some settings, like fonts aliasing. 4. try to remove gnome-control-center. Actual Results: It will remove only gnome-control-center Expected Results: Make it remove everything installed as gnome-control-center dependencies. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
