Yes, didn't run as fast as I thought, though.
You should be able to boot the Minimal VM image from virtual external drive, as you likely do with ISO.
Using the JeOS-efi image (openSUSE-Leap-15.6-ARM-JeOS-efi.aarch64.qcow2) the virtual network hardware was configured correctly upon first boot. (The link eth0 got an ip address and is active.) I realized that I do not yet have a use for an arm server.
