Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: hacker@scarlet-jade.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:10.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0 I was using Gwenview to look at some PNG files that I'd created over the past several years. Most displayed OK but, for a few, a message would be displayed to say that the file was being loaded but then nothing else would happen. I tried GIMP, Showfoto and Okular on the same image and there wasn't a problem. The image was also displayed in the Dolphin Information panel. I switched from my KDE 4.8.0 session to one for 4.7.4 on the same computer and the same home session and also running openSUSE 12.1. The problem went away. The "reproducibility" description is tricky. "Happens sometimes" is true when considering all PNG files but "happens every time" would be applicable for the failing files as they always fail. Unfortunately, the failing files contain personal information so I am unable to provide a test image.
