I have tried i586, x86-64, and the liveCD-Gnome. All hang in normal kernel mode. The LiveCD hangs for about 5 minutes with "udevadm settle timeout" its continues a bit later, but I don't have the message in front of me. The x86-64 installation hangs for about 5 minutes with "starting udev udev-event[9] '/sbin/modprobe' abnormal exit" and then "ok" then "loading basic drivers" After that point it hangs permanently. It hangs if you select Install, Install in Text Mode, Test Firmware, or Test Media. Alt-F4 reports no errors. The last line is "Uniform multi-platform E-IDE Driver" ---------- Workaround: Install selecting Safe-mode Kernel Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Put in 11.1 CD or DVD 2. Boot 3.
