But security updates causes reinstalling Firefox from main repository if it [Firefox] was installed from 'Mozilla' repository. Moreover, some related to Firefox packages can installed only with Firefox from main repository. So, it is difficult to use Firefox from 'Mozilla' repository. So, must I add 'Mozilla' repository to install only Thunderbird? And what are a differences between Firefox from main repository and from 'mozilla' repository? Is the security updates only for Firefox from main repo or firefox updates from 'mozilla' repo includes the same security updates?
When we update we will have people complaining that their addons stop working... Yes, there exists this problem. But Firefox from main repository updates very frequently, so some extensions for Firefox 7 stop working. One of them is openSUSE specific extension 'openSUSE Firefox Extensions'. It stopped working since Firefox 6 and there are no updates for this extension in main repository. More people use Firefox than Thunderbird. Many people use Firefox and web-interface to read/write/send the letters. So, I think the problem "addons stop working" is problem for Firefox.
What do you miss for example? After downgrade I found out that it is difficult to switch language of letter using context menu (right button). In Thunderbird 3.x I must open spelling dialog to switch language.
