https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=803099 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=803099#c0 Summary: sudden balckscreen on switching vt-x Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: RC 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SUSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: estellnb@elstel.org QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:18.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/18.0 During bootup I have been switching the virtual terminal from vt-8 to vt-x. Suddenly I got a black screen the backlight flashing (once on, then off). Please have a look at the dmesg to see what has been happening. It was still possible to escape via the SysRq-keys Ctrl-PrScr-S/U/B. To me it looks like if something with the KMS would be screwed up.
