https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=734935 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=734935#c0 Summary: When Vsync in openGL is enabled, tearing line is shown in the mid of screen Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: anixx@opensuse.org QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; ru; rv:1.9.1.19) Gecko/20110420 SUSE/2.0.14-0.2.1 SeaMonkey/2.0.14 I use Nvidia card with proprietary nvidia driver version 290.10 (currently the latest) with sync to vblank enabled in openGL. Today I upgraded from 11.4 to 12.1. Under 11.4 all worked excellent, but under 12.1 (with the same driver version) a tearing line appears at about 1/4 from the top of the screen. This makes playing games difficult and looks ugly. Previously under 11.4 such line would appear if to set incorrect sync polarity in xorg.conf. And I could easily remove the line by changing polarity to +hsync -vsync. But under 12.1 I cannot. The only thing changes is that the line can move from top 1/4 of the screen to top 1/3. Since I use the same driver under 11.4 and 12.1 I suppose the problem is with Xorg.
