Solution: turn off AMD K8 Cool'n'Quiet in BIOS. Additional info: during installation process stops with a message "Wrong digest", especially with a huge files, such as "kernel-firmware". Testing DVD image shows errors. Updating BIOS and other measures had no effect. After disabling AMD K8 Cool'n'Quiet in BIOS dmesg shows: --------------------------------------------------------------------------- powernow_k8: [Firmware Bug]: No compatible ACPI _PSS objects found.
