https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=730194 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=730194#c0 Summary: Debian build fails with "block lacks a package field" Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: BuildService AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: towo@towo.net QAContact: adrian@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.19) Gecko/20110420 SeaMonkey/2.0.14 Building with a Debian/Ubuntu target, it fails with the error dpkg-source: error: syntax error in BUILD/debian/control at line 25: block lacks a package field The file has not changed since my previous source release (when it worked). So what does it want from me??? (Following a vague hint on the web I removed a blank line before "Package:" - no change.) (Clear documentation on the format of this file is not readily available anyway...) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Build package for Debian/Ubuntu target 2. Check error log https://build.opensuse.org/package/live_build_log?arch=x86_64&package=mined&project=home%3Atowo2%3Amined&repository=Debian_6.0 3. Stay puzzled Actual Results: Refuses to build for unclear reason. Expected Results: Should work seamlessly, as it used to. I consider this "Critical" because the system stopped to build my package (which it did before) and does not give a clue on the reason. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
