https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=251192 Summary: Define threshold variable for re-updating lists Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: kkaempf@novell.com ReportedBy: axel.braun@gmx.de QAContact: kkaempf@novell.com Assume you install a package/change installation sources: openSuSE updater/yast rereads all sources and updates the lists. If you do the same thing one hour later, it updates all lists again, which is quite time consuming. Experience tells that it is sufficient for (e.g.) apt, to update the lists once a day. Maybe you can add a variable to define an update threshold, e.g. 60 [m]: Update only if last update is older than 60 minutes ..just as a thought -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
