Ok, it seems that /usr/lib64/cups/filter/foomatic-rip is not present.
- Either you didn't install package "foomatic-filters",
- or you set up wrong permission (it needs x-bits for anyone). Please note
that "/usr/lib64/cups/filter/foomatic-rip" is a link to
"/usr/bin/foomatic-rip", and it's the later where the x-bits have to be set.
- or, if x-bits are present, please try out and start it from command line.
Suspicion might raises then, that perl modules are missing.
--> please check, modify and report back. --> NEEDINFO.
The related error message is:
Filter "foomatic-rip" [...] not available: No such file or directory
Regarding error message:
cupsdAuthorize: No authentication data provided.
I'll not going to work on this error. This is a configuration issue, which is a
result of your configuration modifications, and not a bug. I'll ignore that
one.
I noticed, that backend "hp" is used now. But according to comment#9, a "usb"
is at your site configured.
As it happens the 3rd time now: next time, when you do this again, I'm going to
close this bugzilla entry with INVALID. Cause is, that this bugzilla entry
turns out to be a configuration error and NOT a bug in printing system. It's
good will that I'm continuing to debug your broken configuration, but not scope
of the bugzilla. Please honor this good will of me and provide full information
next time.
