I disabled my 11.0 repos and "zypper ar"-ed the 11.1 repos. Then I did zypper ref and zypper dup. After this had ended successfully I rebooted. But I could not log into my machine. Apparently some pam module problems. I got shell access with the init=/bin/sh boot parameter trick. The update was utterly incomplete. Then I did "zypper in zypper" and "zypper in rpm". After that "zypper dup" completed the update successfully.
