Why? Seems to work just fine with AMD & NVidia GPUs.
Seriously? Because it affects all machines with Intel onboard graphics, which I assume are the majority by far in desktop computers. And the bug leads to a stuck boot process which can only be resolved by a hard power off and choosing an older kernel at boot time in GRUB (IF you have this option activated... which might not be the case for everyone).
