https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=789155 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=789155#c0 Summary: KMail 4.9.3 smtp auth failure Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: mrkfbrn@yahoo.co.nz QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.13 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/24.0.1290.0 Safari/537.13 SUSE/24.0.1290.0 Since upgrading kmail from 4.9.2 to 4.9.3 when sending email I am occassionally prompted to enter my smtp server password. The dialogue appears states that my smtp server requires authorization. I have my smtp serv login and password saved in kmail / kwallet and I am not always prompted for the password - it seems random. It is possible to cancel the auth dialogue and cancel the send and then try to send again and I am not prompted for the password again and the send is successful. Using Yahoo smtp server with ssl port 465 (auth type = plain) Reproducible: Always -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
