https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=331660 Summary: 64-bit libraries installed on G4-based computer Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: PowerPC OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: alex@csgraf.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- While installing openSUSE 10.3 on my iBook G4, I found myself running out of disk space during the installation, so I tried to remove everything I did not find useful. While digging around in the installed system, I found /lib64 and /usr/lib64 directories, which are completely useless on a ppc system that is not capable of running 64 bit code. I did not select the 64-bit compatibility category. running the command rpm -qf /lib64/* /usr/lib64/* | sort | uniq shows: ConsoleKit-64bit-0.2.1-57 audit-libs-64bit-1.5.5-13 cracklib-64bit-2.8.10-37 dbus-1-64bit-1.0.2-59 filesystem-10.3-50 glibc-64bit-2.6.1-18 libdb-4_5-64bit-4.5.20-29 libxcrypt-64bit-2.4-71 nss-mdns-64bit-0.9-42 pam-64bit-0.99.8.1-15 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
