https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=295483 Summary: provide more convenient bootloader for CDs Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bluedzins@wp.pl QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- I am not talking about primary bootloader on CD1, but the bootloader on CD2 (for example). Insert CD2 into the drive, restart computer, wait for the message -- now, you can only insert CD1. It is too restrictive, please provide more gentle bootloader, with message like this: Insert openSUSE CD1 and press [F1] to boot from CD or press [F2] to boot from the hard disk. Note, that there would be an option to boot from hard disk (currently this one is missing). Also provide a timer, 60 seconds?, after that time computer should boot from the hard disk. Reason of such wish: when you install something on already installed system, and you forget to get the disk out of the drive, next time you start your computer the current behaviour is quite disturbing for unexperienced users. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
