Same problem, home and other NFS4 directory mappings are all mounted by autofs in a NIS environment, but idmapd isn't starting. I'd suggest this should be categorized as a bug rather than an enhancement; it doesn't seem the correct solution to have to activate an additional service manually to cover for something that autofs isn't doing (kind of takes the 'auto' out of 'autofs' ;) In our shop at least, this has become a fairly important issue as we have some of the teams using an editor app through wine and wine is failing on an ownership test of the users' home dirs that are being automounted but with no idmapper. thanks N -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
