The machine will boot fine if you update /boot/grub/menu.lst and /etc/fstab to use ata-ST9320320AS_5SX0YCRH-part3 (or /dev/sda3 if you prefer). How come the installation is using different device ID? Can you please boot into the system by fixing up menu.lst and fstab and then report the result of "hdparm -I /dev/sda"?
