The yast files are not used by YaST itself, but for creating a submenu of yast module on the desktop.

Any suggestions of a shared package where desktop-data.sh could go?
We don't have any great package for that :/ That being said, looking at its content, I'm actually not even sure GNOME would use it: it's only useful to set the cursor theme, and that's something that we can set in the default settings (we'd need to make sure there's no quick ugly cursor on login, though).
