https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=853458 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=853458#c0 Summary: kmozillahelper sometimes freezes when opening large directories Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 13.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Firefox AssignedTo: bnc-team-mozilla@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: blancpa@worldcom.ch QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:25.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/25.0 With Firefox (25.0) and Thunderbird (24.1.0), the dialog to save attachments or to upload files sometime freezes (takes very long (up to more than 1 minute) to respond to any click). When this happens, I can see that 'kmozillahelper' process takes about 99% CPU time. I've experienced that on large directories (one got about 700 entries, the other more than 3'000). The problem is not always reproductible: sometimes it does not freeze at all. Is there something I can turn on to get more info ? pab@pollux:~/OPIT/Documents> /usr/lib/mozilla/kmozillahelper --version Qt: 4.8.5 KDE Development Platform: 4.11.2 KMozillaHelper: 0.6.4 Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a file to upload, or an attachment to save (in Thunderbird) 2. 3. Actual Results: top command shows kmozillahelper taking most of the CPU -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
