https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=422582 Summary: powersave (gnome-power-manager) cpufreq options not working Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Mobile Devices AssignedTo: zoz@novell.com ReportedBy: wolfgang@rosenauer.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Customer I've just tried to switch to "performance" cpufreq setting from gnome-power-manager and only with "powersave -f" (which returned a success notification). But my CPU was still running at 800MHz only according to /proc/cpuinfo (for a 2GHz CPU). That's an IBM T43. Since the 'automatic' setting seems to be pretty useless (one of my applications was stuttering like hell taking almost all CPU (but cpuinfo still showed 800MHz) while on battery I wanted to change the scheme on battery and found the above behaviour with no way to force the CPU using full speed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
