I hope these attachments are fine, I took them on another machine directly after installation with the machine unplugged from the network. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Oh my, was the machine before (logs in comment #10) also unplugged from the network? No wonder there was "No network running" pop-up then ... If only I got an idea to search logs for link status before! eth0 (wired) reports no link - probably no cable plugged in. eth1 (wireless) can have no link either, with just default values accepted and no ESSID configured ... Messages from NM conversion tool in log #11 were just warnings and can probably be disregarded. As for NetworkManager on the installed system - I have a patch (just doing some final testing around) that will skip network reload/restart in YaST and write just some very basic setup ( "NETWORKMANAGER="yes" to sysconfig and /etc/HOSTNAME content). Thus the annoying pop-up won't appear and it'll be up to user to set some connection in NM later As for NetworkManager in installation - network restart can't be skipped in such case. So if there is no valid connection configured, the pop-up must appear. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
