https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=432298 Summary: 'downloading' used confusingly when fetching extra packages for installer Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: wstephenson@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Development Any extra package fetched for the installation system (eg language packs, cracklib) shows a dialog that uses the word 'Downloading', for any installation source. This is inappropriate except when performing a network/internet installation - it provokes the reaction "Oh no, the network is not configured/plugged in/available - this is going to fail!". An appropriate, installation-source-neutral phrasing would be the same as zypper - "Retrieving package": Retrieving package iso-codes-3.3-1.9.noarch (3/10), 1.1 M (6.0 M unpacked) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
