http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=527428 Summary: No way to configure sound output channel through yast Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Milestone 4 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: ajohansson@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- In 11.2, intelhdmi is available and works. In KDE's "multimedia" module I can see and configure KDE to use the HDMI output by default. In YaST though, that doesn't seem to be possible. I can configure mplayer manually to use the correct output channel, and alsa to use it by default for everything, but if it's possible to do this in YaST's sound module, it's certainly not obvious how. So far, everything I've tried has resulted in normal analog output, which since I only have a HDMI cable connected to this machine, results in no sound output at all YaST needs to have an interface where the user is able to select the correct output channel to use -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
