Conversely, the version isn't likely anything most people care anything about or do anything as a consequence of during installation. Also, many package names are ridiculously long for the installation context, making initial Package column width excessively wide. During installation (& probably also after) summary is arguably more important than version, and thus deserves a reasonable minimum width, quite more than 12-13 characters it gets now. Those using narrow screens have probably come to expect appearance of horizontal scrolls as a matter of course. Thus, implementing reasonable wider minimums that force horizontal scroll in narrow windows hardly seems unreasonable, as does limiting Package column width to no more than about 50%-60% of the pane width when the window is narrow. A mouseover tooltip should be adequate for those needing access to the entirety of lengthy package names. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
