Without extra 'search' list /etc/resolv.conf looks like following: admin@lap:~> cat /etc/resolv.conf # Generated by NetworkManager search default.net nameserver 192.168.101.1 then I added two additional search domains via nm-applet: domain.host,domain.net and resolv.conf ends up in admin@lap:~> cat /etc/resolv.conf # Generated by NetworkManager search domain.host domain.net default.net nameserver 192.168.101.1 additional are placed before 'default'. This is wrong ! Additional should be placed after 'default' like following: admin@lap:~> cat /etc/resolv.conf # Generated by NetworkManager search default.net domain.host domain.net nameserver 192.168.101.1 AND "NETCONFIG_DNS_STATIC_SEARCHLIST" is without any effect !! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
