However it fails due to a non existent directory /var/lock/subsys/ . After creating this directory the service starts OK. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start openSUSE 12.1 factory in VirtualBox using SystemV (F5) and watch the error message about failed services during startup. 2. 3.
