Can you please provide details on what hardware you use? Is this machine an Email-Server? What is the load of the machine and which processes cause this load? Thanks
this is an entry-level desktop P4 (3.0 Ghz) with a fresh install of opensuse 11.0. i'm configuring it as a server using yast, for testing purposes, but there are no clients currently, so load is generated by X apps. please set the variable $maxserver to 2 in the line 17 of the file /etc/amavisd.conf.
$max_servers = 2; # num of pre-forked children (2..15 is common), -m $daemon_user = 'vscan'; # (no default; customary: vscan or amavis), -u $daemon_group = 'vscan'; # (no default; customary: vscan or amavis), -g restarting amavisd locks the machine, so this might actually be amavisd's fault. i'm running one more tryout, when the machine locks up, my only resort is a hard reboot. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
