https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=462763 Summary: /tmp quickly expands to fill partition Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rodneyp@pcug.org.au QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Community User only 4 days after installation, followed by light usage browsing and email, /tmp has expanded to 2.3 GB and filled / partition. "vdir" lists 112694 files in /tmp. The majority are user files. same happened to an installation of openSUSE 11.1 GM on same PC, which had initially been a fresh installation of 10.3 GM, then upgraded through various betas. Issue was not apparent up to and including 11.1 RC1. In that instance, /tmp expanded to 1.8 GB before filling / partition. Initially I thought the issue might be related to superceded packages and temporary files left during upgrades. Now appears this is not the case as similar result for a fresh installation of 11.1 GM. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
