Yes, the README file is outdated :-( I just added this info to http://en.opensuse.org/Errata_in_the_openSUSE_11.1_Documentation#General_and.... We cannot fix this easily on the released product. I'll update it for 11.2. We are about to release opensuse-manual_en with all PDFs as an online update to fix bug 457046. This will supersede the English books on the media.
