I will be using zypper. About the "as designed" bit: it's easy to work around once you've experienced the problem. I concur that I'm new to yum, but as I have heard it advertised as apt-get for *rpm... My question would be: how can we prevent other SUSE newbies to have the nasty experience of breakage that I had? How would the next Debian/Ubuntu person installing SUSE know to use zypper or install yum-basearchonly before doing yum -y install $(cat some-list)? like she did with apt-get? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
