So yes, updating is fine. I even like to see the final 1.0 release and afterwards (testing!) request a generic update to the 1.0 version for all released distributions. Let's hope upstream can release the final version at the IPv6 day already ;-) FYI: I still see some "implicit definitions of functions and pointers" warnings in the logs and compiling it with no-strict-aliasing - but I updated the version in network:utilities already (Note: I use 0.99.1 as version to make updates easier).
