https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=724383 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=724383#c0 Summary: Upgrade ghostscript to 9.02 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Beta 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Printing AssignedTo: jsmeix@suse.com ReportedBy: volker3204@paradise.net.nz QAContact: jsmeix@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/3.5; Linux) KHTML/3.5.10 (like Gecko) SUSE Please upgrade ghostscript to 9.02, because 9.00 has problems I count as critical. ghostscript 9.00 segfaults on input creating for device-independent output mode and using -dUseCIEColor. A trivial way to recreate this is described here: #bnc696814 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=696814 (sorry I don't find any help for markup to use here to refer to other bugs) The problem is fixed in gs 9.02, which I verified with the 9.02 package from jsmeix's home repo. I've had this problem also with files from elsewhere, not just with mine. Other references: http://bugs.ghostscript.com/show_bug.cgi?id=691883 I don't think this report is for the same problem afterall, because the 2 .ps files attached to that report work with gs 9.00 but the .pdf does not. http://bugs.ghostscript.com/show_bug.cgi?id=692370 gs developer confirming the bug for 9.00 and fix for 9.01 and 9.02.
