I recall the exact steps here; and I can reproduce them anytime: First of all, the installation must be successful. Then the system reboots. Now I can choose Failsafe or the Standard openSuse from the bootloader. It does not matter which one. After that a darkgreen loading screen (with lizard and progressbar) appears which eventually changes into Textmode. The last thing I see before the black screen appears is "Starting HAL-Deamon". And exactly when I see this I must press Ctrl+C and the boot continues as usual! After starting up however the system seems very slow and needs whole lot of CPU Power. Even moving the 2D windows stutter a little bit. Also I need to press this Ctrl+C every time I want to boot up openSuse, otherwise it ends up in the black screen again. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
