Pand works only when pan0 isn't created, and pand then creates normal bnep interface. Good way to make pand working, is switch off bluetooth on startup (on same notebooks is switch) or ejecting bluetooth dongle (not tested) before startup. I think the best way to fix it is disabling automatic turning on of bluetooth on startup (automatic turning on started from OpenSUSE 11.2 and I don't like it).
